Memento Mori

Deep in the desert in an altered state and being torn into dust,
by the laws and the jaws of the jungle, all dry and seeking blood full of drugs.
This shaved skull of light's burning hot from hate and it's born from tomes read alone.
Soon death will shield sight and steal nights from these broke mystic bones, whiskey soaked, mystic bones of ritual, cross out.

In fear of silence just around the bend, the signs of cities are showing dread.
Within the coffin inside of my head, the holy spirit has made its bed.
When I move forward to discover a home, I find no angels where I roam,
just smoke and mirrors and a vagabond wraith, led back to the streets I've haunted.
Long before, bones would wallow,
game to go, go among the hollow.
Heart shaped grave, bones wait to follow,
left behind blank until tomorrow.

I've been my habit but what have I become, my head shot flickers with a shadow.
Escaped from Eden to enter a prison, the cell so still until the whispers swore
of talking snakes and primal rattles that shake. The edge of sanity was born to blur.
Speeding to nowhere with the softest kiss to crave sick sex a little longer.
Long before, bones would wallow,
game to go, go among the hollow.
