Mind’s Deceiving, just what am I perceiving?
Sick of Illusions and I will not believe anymore.
I am cured, I seek what’s pure.
I look within and I don’t suffer in silence.
I hide within from all the hexes and violence.
Now I make sense of the sensory.
I would swim seas of blood, cut my veins,
to descend with the friends inside of my head.
There’s a world within, that I’m falling in,
disguises laid to rest.
I am haunting skin, ghost of who I’ve been,
I’m surrendering, Imagining new flesh.
What I’m feeling, I am never revealing.
These carnal chains, they just seem so unappealing now.
I want out. I vow to leave.
I smash my mirror and I turn my attention
to broken pieces of my cracked up reflection.
Now I can solve the sharp mystery.
Dragged my thoughts on the edge of a blade.
In that place, in my brain, I can feel no pain.
There’s a world within, that I’m falling in,
disguises laid to rest.
I am haunting skin, ghost of who I’ve been,
I’m surrendering, Imagining new flesh.
The fatal slumber that I once resisted,
it now seems like a perfect dream.
Into the city of my cerebrum,
I close my eyes and then I make my escape.
There’s a world within, I am falling in,
where I choose to live, my body laid to rest.
I am haunting skin, ghost of who I’ve been,
I’m surrendering, Imagining new flesh.
Guided by light, deep in the night, I move,
Racing the dawn, born to be dust in tombs.
I’m ready for new flesh.
Guided by light, deep in the night, I move,
Racing the dawn, born to be dust in tombs.
I’m ready for new flesh.

Three Of Swords

By the silence of headstones, I call out to shadows.
As the gears in machines spin, the season’s turning.
When the autumn crawls from crypts to bury summer,
the winter chill arrives with limbs, kicking and screaming.
I could not save her from time.
Only love was left alive.
Numb to the thorns on the roses on her grave.
(Numb to the thorns on the rose on her grave.)
I Picked them for her until my hands were bleeding.
Her demise, my crucible.
In the hanging, hopeless haze, I’m waiting for no one.
Writing poems for the dead, my Sonja beneath me.
I had drawn the three of swords.
Pierced my heart, settled a score.
Numb to the thorns on the roses on her grave.
(Numb to the thorns on the rose on her grave.)
I Picked them for her until my hands were bleeding.
Her demise, my crucible.
Her demise, my trial.

Lycanthropy II

All night,
The rose of my veins, it was blooming red with thorns,
piercing the sky from the depths of my core.
As the wings of Icarus caught heat and fell,
I fell into a sea of tears and sweat and blood to drown all night…all night.
Coming down fast from some divine heights,
lightning flashed and I'm missing time.
Too fast to live and I'm too numb to cry.
History repeats and I go for the ride all night.
Wax and wane, addicted to change.
First came the love and then came the pain.
The rites of Spring lead to pleasures of flesh,
then onto the rush of feeling nothing.
I sink to the sound of my grinding teeth,
venerating with some grim techniques.
Wolves at the door call me out for some gore
then I'm back on the prowl and I'm looking for more all night.
Coming down fast from some divine heights,
lightning flashed and I'm missing time.
Too fast to live and I'm too numb to cry.
History repeats and I go for the ride.
Evil lives in the skull that's blind.
Mirror of my face, I can't recognize.
Portrait is void. No memory.
the curse I embrace...Lycanthropy.

Behind The Mask
06:02

The sun will rise at dawn,
conceived with no fear in a frightful garden.
Dualistic gods appear by dusk,
they will collide inside, dividing me.
Something’s in the air…secret devotion.
Something’s in the air…civil commotion.
Behind the mask…
Behind the mask…
Behind the mask of mortality,
we change for complicated reason that change.
Stars above and our roots below, we grow.
Stars above and our roots below, we grow.
Stars above and our roots below, we grow.
Stars above and our roots below, we grow.
Tonight, lost souls find a form
to reflect the sacred like a mirror to the sky,
to seek the future through ancient eyes,
and each day we’ll dream of our transcendence.
Our bodies hold a language, written deep in the flesh.
The whisper of wisdom becomes a screaming death.
Born for agony. Death divinity.
Never to regress. Never to regress.
Possessing the skin of who we’ve been in the faceless space of morning,
is the tragic presence of dead tribes caught in the rush of time.
All of those old days, seem so strange,
and all of these days, seem so insane,
behind the mask…
behind the mask…
behind the mask…
behind the mask.

Blood Wisdom Los Angeles, California
Blood Wisdom began in 1998 in Cape May, New Jersey. Though it was originally conceived as a solo project for Eaden Rosvein, it would eventually evolve into a band featuring longtime member Ed Dymek and a changing lineup of collaborators. Over the years, the band has explored and blended many genres, unified by poetic lyrics, surreal album/flyer artwork, and transgressive live performances. ... more
